Job Description :
Role: Nursing Aide

Location: Columbus, GA

Contract Duration: 4 weeks contract with a possibility of extension

Pay rate: $18-$22/hr

Work Schedule: 40hours/weeks

Shift: 3pm-11pm

Our client provides residential care for females, ages 10-17, who have experienced sexual trauma leading to characteristics of emotional or behavioral disturbances. Their program teaches the residents appropriate behaviors as they live and heal in a safe, staff-secured environment.

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, learns to provide basic patient care and works with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs.

Job Description:

Answers clients’ call signals
Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse
Bathes, grooms, shaves and dresses clients
Conducts activities for recreation and socialization
Ensures safety and security of clients
Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves
Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity
Prepares clients for treatment or examination
Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines
Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed
Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients
Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher
Turns and re-positions bedridden clients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores
Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas


High School Diploma
work experience
CNA type of background, no need for license
Behavioral health exp preferred.
Preferred if they had a history of working with youth, temperament to work with youth with a severe history of trauma is highly preferred.
