Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join our ever-growing team in our Puyallup, WA plant. As the HRBP you will be the sole HR representative on-site at the Puyallup plant, where you will support hourly and salary staff and hold responsibility for assisting in the coordination, development, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and programs designed to ensure that an adequately trained, compensated, and motivated workforce is available to meet the company’s current and future organizational needs. You will also be responsible for HR responsibilities at our Anchorage, AK plant, where you will be required to travel on-site as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engagement and employee retention are the most critical part of this role and across our HR family.
Serve as point of contact for our Puyallup, WA, and Anchorage, AK locations regarding human resource policies and procedures and responsible for guidance to all employees to insure consistent adherence to the policy and procedures.
You will partner with an Operations Recruiter for recruiting and screening applicants, working with temporary agencies, and keeping our applicant tracking system updated in accordance with company and legal guidelines.
Participate and lead all employee engagement activities.
Work closely with our Training and Talent Development Department in Carlisle, PA to coordinate, facilitate, and/or assist in all training activities at your plant locations (i.e. orientation programs, anti-harassment training, etc.)
Advises Plant management and Regional HR Manager in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Effectively support and foster the company’s Open Door Policy.
Assist and conduct onsite employee relation investigations.
Maintain all personnel records in accordance with EEO, privacy, and related requirements.
Promote working together with all departments to build continual improvement within the company.
Coordinate and ensure regulatory compliance of the HR program, including posting required notifications, generating applicable documentation, and maintenance of employee files.
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Education – Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to functional work.
3-5 years prior HR experience required
A strong track record of employee engagement and retention is critical.
Knowledge of ADP preferred.
HR manufacturing industry and knowledge of hourly employment experience is strongly preferred
Broad knowledge of general employment laws, recruitment, EEO/AAP, safety training, and policy development required.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including those of Dept. of Labor, OSHA, and other state and local governing bodies
