Job Description :
The Port of Port Angeles is seeking qualified candidates for the Public Works & Facilities Manager position. The Public Works & Facilities Manager is responsible for management activities and direct supervision of 10 skilled maintenance personnel to execute the Port’s Public Works Projects and to ensure the quality function, maintenance, and safety of the Port’s marinas, industrial properties/buildings, airports, waterfront properties, marine terminals, piers, log yard facilities, boat launch facilities, boat yard and rental properties. The Public Works & Facilities Manager reports to the Director of Engineering but is expected to communicate directly to other department heads and the Commission regarding specific projects and Port facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Public Works and Construction Management and 5 years of general management experience managing and directing the work of trades professionals. A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, but not required. Salary is DOE starting at $87,391, also included is a generous benefits package. Extensive background and Drug Testing and the ability to obtain or possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) are required.
