Job Summary:
The Clean Claims Specialist is responsible for making sure internal ECS system is setup correctly to bill claims from beginning to payer processing.

Essential Job Functions:

Work ECS rejections from our Clearinghouse and Payers.
Research new rejections and monitor for trends.
Proactively correct system issues that may cause ECS rejections.
Monitor paper claims to be mailed with required attachments.
Monitor insurance plan setup and review payer IDs.
Manage workflow and processes for our document management system.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers and copier.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of medical billing experience required.
Knowledgeable of medical terminology, medical coding.

Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. This would require the ability to move files and paperwork, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
