Equivalent Experience
Looking to hire a Revit Structural Design Technician to work on timber structural projects for residential, townhome, multi-family, and apartment facilities.
Responsible for intermediate-level drafting that provides support to project teams. Primary responsibility to interpret and produce drawings from sketches, verbal instructions, and /or notes. Exhibits strong time management skills and adherence to schedules / deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Provide BIM support of project teams; interprets and produces drawings from sketches, verbal instructions, and / or notes.
Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete deliverables as required with minimal supervision
Understand and implement software and operating systems.
Conduct and apply project research as directed.
Understand and assist in the organization of plans, sections, details, and elevations.
Manage submittal production for medium sized projects.
Assist in the submittal production for medium / large projects.
At the direction of the project leaders, work with the consultants and assist in the coordination of their work.
Exhibit good time management skills and completes tasks on schedule.
Adhere to office standards of design, quality control, and production.
Review own work for accuracy.
Manage distribution and filing of incoming and outgoing documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
A. degree in Architecture, Engineering or equivalent highly preferred
1+ years structural drafting experience or related experience – 3+ years highly preferred
Good verbal communication skills, including listening and questioning.
Good analytical skills; ability to assess risks/obstacles and provide positive alternative solutions
Good time management skills.
Dedicated to providing excellent support to all stakeholders.
Intermediate level Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam software skills – entry level okay
Possess ability to create and manage Revit families – highly preferred
Additional software skills: Basic PowerPoint: Intermediate Word, Outlook, Excel.
Good problem-solving skills.
