Job Description :
Palouse River Counseling, a leader in behavioral healthcare, is seeking an exceptional and dedicated individual for a full-time credentialing specialist position at our clinic located in Pullman, WA. Palouse River Counseling is a non-profit organization that has provided behavioral health services throughout the Palouse Region for over 50 years. Our dedicated staff deliver unparalleled counseling and support services to our clients and our community.
The credentialing specialist will be responsible for maintaining active status for all providers by successfully completing initial and subsequent credentialing applications as required by commercial payers, Medicare, Medicaid and CMS within the guidelines of and policies at Palouse River Counseling.
This position provides integral support to the healthcare operations by monitoring credentialing profiles to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all file documentation. The successful candidate will convey problems to their supervisor for sound resolution in accordance with policies and procedures, Federal and State licensing regulations and credentialing requirements. Maintains professional relationships with payers, clinical providers and PRC staff.
Qualifications include – a minimum of 3 years experience in provider credentialing in a behavioral healthcare setting; a minimum of Associates Degree, CPCS is highly preferred or a combination of education and experience; knowledge of behavioral health provider credentialing and accreditation principles, policies, processes, procedures and documentation; ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all communications on behalf of credentialing applications; advanced skills in computerized spreadsheeting and database management; ability to pass a criminal background check.
