Job Type: Full-time, on-site Required Education: Bachelors Degree
THIRA Health seeks a Financial Analyst to manage and maintain high level finance and health insurance operations, including account installations, implementation, patient support, contract administration, claim processing, and enrollment eligibility. Manage accounts payable cycle and analyze company costs/revenue. Additionally, manage all employee and facility licensure, professional and facility contracting, re-credentialing and required state certification(s).

Job Duties:
PATIENT BILLING
Post all insurance payments to patient accounts and apply appropriate contractual adjustments
Perform all insurance AR follow-up for overdue accounts; assess account to determine need for additional follow-up or write off
Provide secondary support for the appropriate use of all billing codes to ensure they are the most financially applicable while maintaining the required note documentation
FINANCE
Perform independent audits on all incoming and outgoing payments by insurance and patients to ensure accuracy and timely reimbursement/payment
Collect, maintain and monitor AP files for proper content; perform weekly reconciliation of bills for approval and payout
Serve as either the analyst processing all payments for approved AP or documenting expense categories and payment amounts in QuickBooks
Ensure credit card transactions are appropriately documented in QuickBooks and monitor integration from Concur
Verify monthly ACH and manual bank deposits with accounting to ensure accuracy regarding financial report records and MicroMD
Actively anticipate possible issues pertaining to finance and/or insurance policies and procedures- suggest solutions and adjust when applicable
Provide financial support to designated department leaders
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Demonstrated ability to create meaningful financial reports that are actionable
Must be detail oriented, organized, possess the ability to handle multiple takes simultaneously and follow up on actions based on various assigned duties and/or projects
Must be capable of working effectively and calmly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on THIRA’s core principles, priorities and patient-centered culture
Strong analytical skills applicable to medical expenses and utilization
Preferred Experience/Skills:
1-3 years prior experience in billing, finance, and/or healthcare insurance contracting/credentialing
Working knowledge of billing and insurance systems (MicroMD, EDI, Availity)
Experience with electronic medical practice software preferred
