The Medical Records Tech will report directly up to the HIM Manager while analyzing medical records for full completeness, accuracy, and more. Working alongside multiple other Tech’s while compiling data, statistics, and reports independently. Applicants should have at least 1 year of Medical Records/HIM experience within a hospital setting, as well as certified in AHIMA. Familiarity with using electronic health records (EHR) is also important in considering this opportunity.
Responsibilities of Medical Records Tech may include;

Assemble patient information including medical history, symptoms, diagnostic tests, etc.
Ensure data maintains quality, accuracy, and security
Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and regulations

It is important to have previous experience in a Medical Records Tech position in order to take on all responsibilities given to the Health Information Management team. Being organized, hard-working, communicative, and passionate about healthcare are also qualities to portray when considering this opening in Washington. In depth knowledge of computers and information systems is helpful in being efficient, and understand responsibility.
