Job Summary

The District Manager [DM], is the leader of the restaurant management teams. The DM is responsible for overseeing the General Managers of the individual restaurants and overseeing the operational and financial performance and ensuring core values are carried out through execution. The DM is expected to plan, schedule, oversee, and participate in the operations of the restaurant. The DM is to be the role model for the company culture, and always exhibit the highest standards in overall store efficiency, food/drink production, and guest experience, by delivering the best food and beverages, in the cleanest, most friendly and safest dining environment.

The DM reports directly to the Leadership Team [LT]. The DM is accountable for executing the policies, procedures and direction provided by the LT. As the district leader, the DM must be able to perform ALL restaurant tasks as needed and ensure proper execution of company standards, policies and procedures including monitoring and maintaining the overall guest experience, and the safety and security of team members and company assets.

The DM will have successfully completed and met the requirements of all the Training Certifications as well as the District Manager Training Certification. The DM must be able to fluently speak and write in the English language in order to best communicate with our customers, vendors, and leadership, and must maintain professional dress, speech, and behavior at all times.

Responsibilities

Oversee General Managers’ efficiency of their stores, day to day management of team members, shift leaders, and model the company standards for quality service, cleanliness, product and procedure knowledge and accuracy in execution, team appearance, professionalism and sales building

Performs work of General Managers and/or Team Members as needed, leading by example and following standards strictly

Oversee Profits and Losses, efficiency of all stores collaborating with the General Manager and Leadership Team

Continuous inspection of restaurant [using company process] for cleanliness and readiness, ensuring that duties and tasks are being performed correctly. Conduct quality checks including but not limited to food and drink accuracy.

Conduct and/or delegate General Manager training, and ensure General Managers are conducting Team Member training properly

Oversee catering processes, on time deliveries, assist with deliveries when needed, follow up with clients and ensure repeat orders, distribute catering materials to drum up business

Oversee that General Managers are maintaining optimal staffing levels in the restaurant by performing effective scheduling, following deployment procedures to match roles with skill sets, and driving the store training process to create a versatile team. Review time and tip reports for payroll hours, and review labor costing reports

Qualifications

21+ years of age
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
3 – 5 years restaurant management experience, with at least 2 years as a district manager is preferred
Exposure to P&L and sales building is required
Prior supervisory/leadership experience is required
Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction
