Job Description :
Position: Child Care Worker
We are looking for a friendly and motivated child care employee to provide our customers with top-notch child care and customer service. As a member of our team, you will answer customer questions, entertain and play with children, help calm sad or anxious children, and create memorable experiences. You will also be answering calls and learning our booking/appointment system. Employees can bring their own children, in the accepted age range.
Duties Include:
Greet and service the parents and children in a friendly, inviting and professional manner
Care for the customers’ children in a safe and fun environment
Attentively and promptly respond to the parents and children’s needs
Supervise all children to make sure that the rules are followed
Sanitize toys on a daily basis or more often to ensure a germ-free environment
Maintain a good rapport with the customers and their children
Organize group activities such as coloring contest, games and fun things to keep the children occupied
Interact with all children in positive and age appropriate manner
Clean and disinfect rest room
Complete incident report for any injury.
Work when scheduled and adhere to all company policies
Childcare is available for children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
We are not a full-service childcare facility, and parent/guardian must remain on-site at all times (similar to gym childcare). We do not change diapers, and will text and call the parent/guardian when diaper changes are needed.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience working with children
Customer service experience is a plus
Must have or be willing to get valid Child/Infant CPR and First Aid Certification (cost for certification can be reimbursed)
Must be able to pass background check
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 40 lbs without any restrictions
Needs to be able to stand, bend and squat with frequency
Able to clean and organize
Work Hours:
Childcare hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Part time shifts will include weekend shifts, and varying weekday shifts.
Expectations:
Be friendly and approachable. Offer suggestions and answer questions to create a positive experience.
Answer phone and book appointments for nails and esthetics, when available. You will have to familiarize yourself with nail and esthetic offerings as part of the job responsiblities.
Care about safety. Safety in childcare is our highest priority.
Maintain the cleanliness of the business, sweep and sanitize often, organize stock, check inventory.
