Who We Are:
CampWay was founded in 2020 with the intent of offering transferable learning opportunities to a variety of people in outdoor settings. Through our partnership with various camps in the Prescott area, we are able to offer such services to hundreds of Arizona’s students every year. Our Outdoor Education & Challenge Course Programs include eight engaging science-based lessons and an entire High Ropes and Low Ropes course for team-building and individual growth. CampWay is also a place for staff to grow as facilitators and humans while working with a supportive community united by their passion to inspire the next generation to learn and grow in the outdoors. We accomplish this through daily check-in and check-out staff meetings, mid and end-of-season facilitation feedback, and hiring passionate people who are excited about their work.

Core Responsibilities:
Facilitation of Learning: Effectively teach CampWay’s Outdoor Education curriculum and facilitate activities in a fun & engaging manor.
Group Management: Facilitators are responsible for managing group dynamics and creating positive learning spaces for each member of their group.
Manage Safety: Physical as well as emotional safety are paramount for our students’ success at camp. It is the role of the facilitator to manage both of these areas.
Be an Expert: Our training helps you get there! You are the point of contact for all questions students have. Being able to identify various plant species as well as being able to tell students what’s for dinner all play into a successful facilitator and help build rapport with your students.

Requirements:
Prior work with youth in camp, outdoor education, or school settings.
Dedicated team member with the ability to work with a variety of people with different backgrounds.
Impeccable time management skills.
Ability to improvise and be self-starting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferences:
Previous technical background in Rock Climbing or on a Challenge Course with knowledge of belay systems and knots.
Knowledge of the ecological background of the Prescott National Forest.
Covid-19 vaccination preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
