Responsibilities include but are not limited to being responsible for safe application of both granular and liquid fertilizers and herbicides in adherence to all local and state regulations, Post and pre-emergency weed control, insect identification, weed identification, plant identification skills. The applicant must have a clean MVR, a stable work history, a minimum of 1 year experience with both chemical and spray applications.
Candidate must be able to pay attention to detail and specifications, excellent time management and professional communication skills with the ability and willingness to transition into a sustainable horticulture program. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not required.
What you will do:
Operates all spray equipment
Able to spray and calibrate pesticides
Operates computers on equipment
Requires mixing, loading, and application of pesticides/fertilizers
Handles packed chemicals
Cleans and maintains equipment
Maintains daily application records
Performs other duties as assigned in other departments as needed
Tree/Plant protection product mixing and operation of application equipment training will be given.
What you will bring:
Previous application and/or farming experience a plus, Or Nursery Experience.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to read, write, and communicated in English
Ability to work additional hours to meet business demands.
