Job Description :
Offshore Systems, Inc. is a full-service vessel support terminal in beautiful Dutch Harbor, Alaska. We are currently seeking Forklift Operators to provide material handling services and miscellaneous labor throughout the facility on a seasonal basis.
Duties:
Operators are tasked with moving freight and gear in support of vessel operations in a safe, efficient manner. Forklift and equipment operator responsibilities includes pre-shift inspections, fueling (both liquid and gaseous), maintenance issue reporting and awareness of safe operation requirements.
Forklift operators also assist with vessel tie-ups and cast offs as well as facility cleaning and maintenance including trash removal and light janitorial..
Required Skills and Certifications: This position requires a working knowledge of safe and efficient forklift/loader operation. Must be able to work in remote Alaskan area in harsh weather conditions. Vessel support and stevedoring operations experience preferred. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening and have the ability to obtain a TWIC card.
Seasonal Work Schedules are mid-January through mid-April and mid-June through mid-September. Transportation to Dutch Harbor, AK and employee housing is provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
