A Leasing Specialist is someone with excellent customer service and a proven track record in stabilizing occupancy in apartment communities. Someone who enjoys interacting with a variety of people on a daily basis, enjoys a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, and welcomes change.
Responsibilities:
· Catalyst for occupancy stabilization throughout the region.
· Flexibility to operate at lease-ups, challenged assets, different property types and sizes
· Leading site team by example via exercise in exceptional closing skills
· Stabilize physical occupancy of the property, while working within the approved framework of the lease expiration matrix
· Provide initial positive experience to the future customer of the property and existing residents
· Maintain working knowledge of Fair Housing, company policies and procedures and local Landlord/Tenant laws
· Develop trust with each team member at the property
· Able to transition from one community to the next with very limited notice from the Regional Director
Qualifications:
· 2-4 years experience in leasing
· Successful track record of turning around occupancy numbers at apartment communities
· Outstanding customer service skills
· Excellent oral and written skills
· Knowledge of computer operating systems (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
· Knowledge of Yardi is a plus
