General Description:This position is responsible for assisting in the functions required for crane operations. This includes assisting with equipment transport and set-up. Assisting in the basic maintenance, organizing and cleaning of rigging equipment, trucks and signaling crane lifts.This position will be responsible for driving CCI’s Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Essential Duties & Job Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ensure a safe work environment.
Participate in CCI’s STEPBACK safety program and stay compliant with online training modules in Virtual Training Assistant (EHS). Review and comply with the various Client’s safety programs.
Your responsibility includes representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Assists per OSHA specifications.
Assists with basic crane maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
This position has no supervisory duties.
Must work with experienced operator or another more qualified rigger.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of crane hand signals
Ability to identify and inspect types of rigging hardware, slings and tag lines. Able to check for damage to rigging equipment.
General Crane knowledge, including load-handling safety practices as well as how to use American Society of Mechanical Engineers hand signals.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

High school diploma or GED is required.
NCCCO Rigger 1 Card is required.
A current Cook Inlet Training Standard (CITS) health & safety card OR the combination of an OSHA 10 hour and 24-hour Hazwoper (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) training is required.
TWIC card required.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Current DOT medical card is required.
Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
LIFTING: Mus t be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 70 pounds for 20 feet.
RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
