Job Description :
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the retail shop, stocking inventory, maintaining cleanliness and organization, taking to- go orders, and assisting guests.
Essential Functions
Greet guests entering the gift shop.
Assist guests with choosing items and finding sizes.
Prevent loss by theft or breakage.
Maintain organized and presentable displays.
Prepare orders to be shipped through the mail.
Handle cash and credit cards to process payments and returns.
Assist in performing weekly inventories.
Coordinate with Assistant Restaurant Manager to improve product offering based on guest feedback.
Manage merchandise inventory and prepare re-orders in a timely manner.
Receipt of inventory
Ensure guest satisfaction in all aspects of the Gift Shop.
Assist in Brewery tours.
Assist in supervising Retail Attendants.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently.
Use of hand trucks.

This position supervises retail associates.
Work Environment
This position operates in restaurant, gift shop, and occasionally an office setting. There are stairs and uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, and falls. Frequent hand washing is required due to staff interactions in food prep areas. Job responsibilities may include working outdoors in the Denali, Alaska area in Spring and Fall, when temperatures are at or below freezing and walking surfaces may be slippery.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with guest and coworkers. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position requires moving products weighing up to 50 pounds, repeatedly. Must be able to stan for the full 8 hour shifts.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
It is a full-time, year-round position at 35-40 hours/week. Weekdays and weekends are expected.
Travel – None required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English both written and verbal.
Must have basic Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) skills.
Valid Alaska Food Handlers Card.
Valid TAPS Card.
Preferred Education and Experience
Knowledge of and passion for craft beer preferred.
Minimum 2 years retail experience preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications – None required for this position.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be authorized to work in the US
