POSITION SUMMARY
The VP, Partner Business Development is responsible for leading a team of business development executives who are responsible for recruiting, negotiating, developing and executing strategic partnerships with partners to drive incremental strategic growth for Change Healthcare. This leader ensures their team successfully meets or exceeds goals to establish and build executive relationships that maximize strategic business growth and opportunity within partnered organizations. This includes but not limited to: Data and Predictive Analytics, Revenue Cycle Management, API Developer Platform, Healthcare Payment Solutions and Digital Health initiatives. The VP is responsible for developing and maintaining a team that ensures collaboration and coordination with Business Units, other Sales teams and Partner Account Management to execute on the sales strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute on strategies to meet assigned bookings targets through growth of net new and add-on sales within assigned segment and target key growth areas to increase market share within assigned segment.
Provide ongoing, accurate pipeline and forecast reports to Sales & Operations leadership team.
Lead, develop and maintain team of sales executives who collaborate and coordinate with Business Units, other Sales teams and Customer Success and attain or exceed all assigned quotas for revenue (organic & retention).
Drive accountability through robust OKRs and performance management practices.
Foster sales leadership competency and work to improve bench strength within the sales organization, including building pipeline, establishing development plans and mentoring individuals on the team to maximize their growth and potential.
Ensure strategic collaboration and coordination with Business Units, Sales Teams, and all internal partners to facilitate achievement of sales objectives and guarantee the best overall client experience.
Proactively and continually assess, clarify and validate short term needs and long-term client objectives. Direct client to solution development efforts to address client needs.
Understand how the client differentiates itself in markets and creates client value and how the CHC portfolio can support/maximize their differentiation.
Serve as the single point of contact responsible for specific internal and external oversight of market channel for segment area with retention and growth of the product lines as the primary objectives.
Responsibilities for Sales Executives who report to this leader include:
Create, develops and manage executive relationships with targeted partners within assigned geographic territory.
Develop and execute strategic territory plans based on industry trending and partner analysis, which includes preparing executive profiles and continuous study of assigned partners, industry, business and trends.
Establish “C” level contact within prospective partners and demonstrates a detailed understanding of strategic growth profile.
Prepare weekly sales forecasts, account status reports, and recommendations to enhance account growth and revenue potential.
Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management staff and collaborates with other sales channels and account management.
Convey and demonstrate a detailed knowledge of functionality, features and benefits of Partner service portfolio.
Create and maintain detailed and accurate Account/Opportunity plans; reviews/updates and communicates these on a regular basis.
Provision sales reports and prospect reports.
Identify cross-selling opportunities within accounts.
Maintain Change Healthcare’s CRM system with detailed partner information.
Attend networking events and other forums that are relevant to the buying decision-maker audience.
Present and articulate opportunities/problem statement, value proposition and solution to prospects, e.g., at forums/events and channel partners (Adobe, Microsoft).
Maintain deep understanding of solution set.
Quarterback deal support from various Change Healthcare and external partners required for demos, opportunity assessments, technical sales support, etc.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Training:
Bachelors degree.
Masters degree / MBA preferred.
Business Experience:
Minimum of seven years healthcare sales experience (business development sales a plus), ideally with at least 5 years of progressive experience managing others and track record of quota achievement.
Highly skilled in successfully managing the entire business development process, from discovery to ongoing relationship management with a proven track record in consultative selling solutions.
Sales leadership/management experience with experience guiding and developing others through periods of change preferred.
Related Market Expertise with strong knowledge of sales methodology, territory planning, process optimization and data analysis.
Provider facing decision support understanding and experience preferred.
Specialized Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to demonstrate thought leadership in Healthcare across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to senior technical and business decision makers.
Understanding of complex sales cycles at strategic level with capability to provide clear, balanced advice/counsel on a broad range of strategic and complex management, product and go to market issues.
Ability to develop and deploy strategy that drives customer partnership, revenue growth and retention.
Customer centric with the ability to adjust plans and actions to meet changing market and/or customer needs and ability to put creative deals together to drive business growth.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams to exceed goals with results-oriented style, high degree of analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills including ability to manage a team, recruit and retain top talent, build consensus, and rally members to achieve results.
Highly organized and proficient at executing when experiencing multiple competing priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an open, honest and direct communication style and ability to build relationships across an organization to accomplish goals.
General knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce or other CRMs and healthcare information systems.
Willingness to engage in both tactical hands-on work and strategic work as needed to manage and complete priorities.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of time.
Working Conditions:
Environment – Onsite office or remote office environment, up to 50% travel required.
Physical Requirements – Sitting, standing, walking, and using keyboard, mouse, computer and telephone.
