Oportun is seeking an Omni-Channel Architect with experience in Telephony, Web, Mobile/SMS, social media, etc. design background and hands-on experience for the implementation, and support of seamless cross channel experiences.

Leads and develops strategic and platform roadmaps across multiple products
Establishes and maintains strategic relationships with key partners and business leaders to define business requirements and processes, make recommendations, and lead the in shaping of future product architecture and roadmaps
Collaborates with larger organization and broader architecture to ensure their products align with target architectures and technology roadmaps and provides input on required platform capabilities and improving development tools/processes
Assists in the evaluation of vendors and products and participates in build vs. buy discussions with the product teams
Acts as highest-level technical expert, resolving issues, assessing any potential risks, and identifying solutions across the portfolio
Leads the discussions related to key product architecture decisions. Identifies new opportunities to improve products and provide input and support to the business
Develops and reviews product architecture and design documentation
Provides technical guidance to product and business team(s) as appropriate
Mentor team members and contributes to overall development of the organization
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum of seven years of related work experience, with a least 5 years of technology/telephony architect experience
Programing experience in Java and/or Python, REST API’s, Shell scripting, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Highly collaborative, proactive, and works with high degree of integrity and accountability with a global team
Strives for continuous improvement and open to following evolving industry standards, like cloud, automation, and at scale design
Experience managing projects and executing them to success.
Experience with vendor management, keeping them accountable, handling quarterly business review (QBR), roadmap, etc.
Experience with call accounting software, and call recording platforms
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours work.
Availability to periodically travel to domestic and international sites
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
