THIS POSITION IS MANUFACTURING AND DISTRIBUTION AUTOMATION. JOB IS HOME-BASED WITH EXTENSIVE TRAVEL WITHIN THE US. COMPANY TRAINING IS HELD IN ALEXANDRIA, MINNESOTA.
Vinco, Inc. is hiring a full-time Automation Engineer to work on regional and national plant, manufacturing, and distribution automation projects. Business is great and we need to expand our teams to keep up with growing demand.
This position is responsible for designing automation system using company products (e.g. photo sensors, bar code readers, machine vision systems, etc.). After design approval, programming, and testing automation systems, debugging, trouble-shooting errors, and supporting installation when necessary.
Requirements include:
PLC/PAC/DCS programming proficiency, preferably with Fanuc robotics, TwinCAT 2,3, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, & RSLogix 5
HMI proficiency, preferably with Inductive Automation Ignition, Rockwell Software FactoryTalk View SE/ME, or Wonderware System Platform & Wonderware InTouch
Industrial communications & networks proficiency, preferably with EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, AS-Interface
Requires physical work (e.g. climbing, lifting, bending, use of technical tools, etc.)
Requires confidence and competence with working safely in diverse environments
Requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Requires ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide
Requires availability to work overtime
Ideal candidates will be required to work safely, show up on time ready to work, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and pride in doing quality work.
Our positions do require significant travel, so a valid driver’s license and fairly clear driving record are important. All offered applicants will undergo a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.
