Job Description :
This is an opportunity to lead and operate the Sorghum Research and Development Program for a company based in the Southern United States with an extensive germplasm base, unique genetics and several channels to market.
The Sorghum Plant Breeder / Program Director will lead all Sorghum Research and Development activities for the US and International locations. Candidate must possess and exhibit expertise in leading sorghum breeding processes, product development, field research, data collection, and product analysis. The successful candidate will be the leader as it relates to product development and advancement.
With a successful background in plant breeding and/or having lead a plant breeding program, this person will be responsible for directing and leading all sorghum breeding and product development for both the US and International locations. Responsible for leading all efforts of inbred and hybrid advancement to include data collection, data analysis, and summarization to be used in the commercialization process.
While leading the product advancement process across the company, this person will ensure that the Sorghum Research and Development Team works in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Team to define the products that meet the targeted market demand.
*Salary is commensurate with experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
