JOB TITLE: Installation Technician (X-Ray Devices)
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Renew Digital, a leader in the dental imaging industry, is expanding across the United States. We are adding Installation Technicians to deliver exceptional customer support and perform on-site installation and service of computers and X-Ray equipment for dental and dental specialty offices. Working in a fast-paced environment means wearing many hats. As an Install Tech you will:
Be a Technician:
Install panoramic X-ray and cone beam equipment and related computers.
Calibrate the equipment to ensure high-quality images and optimum performance.
Supervise temporary installation crew(s) by assigning tasks and monitoring.
Conduct performance tests on purchased equipment to ensure proper quality and condition.
Maintain tools and test equipment properly.
Have a “handyman acumen” – it is necessary to have the mechanical understanding of construction methods to facilitate the installation of capital equipment, electrical connections, low-voltage connection, and be at ease with using power and hand tools.
Be Tech-Savvy:
Deliver on-site or remote technical support for computers and dental imaging equipment.
Create and maintain necessary technical documentation and procedures.
Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining installation reports and internal service records in a timely manner.
Install, troubleshooting, and configuration of digital systems controlled by 1-2 computer systems connected via ethernet and wireless methods.
Be a resource to our customers:
Present to small groups of doctors and dental staff on basic equipment hardware operations and software training
Maintain regular communications with customers and team members to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
Meet health and human services, environmental health and safety and/or other applicable regulatory requirements.
Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service issues and conducts effective root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving.
Work as a member of the team to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to all assigned customers.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Installation Technician must be a problem solver, a critical thinker, highly adaptable, and extremely organized. Working in a diverse environment requires you to have strong business acumen as well as the ability to solve complex problems and a strong mechanical aptitude. You don’t need to be an expert networking technician, but if surfing the internet and sending email is the extent of your computer skills – and willingness to dig deeper – this job isn’t for you.
You should also bring the following:
Graduate of electronics/technology program and MSCE or equivalent IT Certification
Previous military experience is welcomed!
Computer networking knowledge and experience
Open to travel 3-4 nights per week. Flying and driving with tools and equipment for install process will be required.
Able to lift over 100 pounds
Valid drivers license and ability to obtain a passport if travel outside of the US is necessary
