Description:
Providence is calling a Manager II Clinic Practice Support (Pmg U Med , Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Physician Service Organization in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers who are delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:

Ensure the timely and accurate completion of daily system/operational activities
Supervise all administrative employees that includes scheduling employee hours, coordinating work assignments, hiring and disciplinary processes, and training staff as necessary
Manage all personnel related issues within the practice site
Resolve staff conflicts and coordinates paid time off
Routinely review internal workflow processes for efficiency improvements and communicates ideas/suggestions to the Director
Establish practice site goals and objectives
Work with staff to meet or exceed these goals and objectives
Develop, revise and implement operational and system billing policies and procedures, charge tickets, registration forms and patient statements
Assess, assist in design, and implementation of software most appropriate for the management and daily operations
Develop yearly and ensures the Clinic operates within budget
Perform various accounting activities, i.e., billing, adjustments, posting, collections, etc.
Implement the marketing plan, oversees community outreach projects and programs
Implement programs to maintain and track excellent patient/public relations at the practice site
Perform case management and peer review with professional staff and Director
Demonstrated management and leadership skills, particularly mentoring, coaching and conflict management
Communicate with fellow employees including managers, providers, nursing staff, front desk, and clinic clients/customers in a professional, objective, customer-friendly and courteous manner
Work toward appropriate resolution when conflict arises
Oversight of patient registration, patient service during clinic time, patient follow-up, and patient billing for the clinic
Work under the direction of the Director to ensure effective care and efficient manners of business
Research and analyze statistics on the effectiveness of the management and business processes and quality of care provided in the clinic
Liaison between the Medical Staff and the Nursing Staff through the Nurse Manager
Coordinate with other business offices regarding interrelated business functions
Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served

Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:

Three (3) years experience managing physician based clinic practice operations, or leadership in applicable setting
Five (5) years Management/leadership level work experience

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

Bachelor’s degree
ACMPE or FACMPE
