Benefits Administrator (Temp to Hire)Anchorage, AKMon-Fri 8am-5pm (some weekends i.e. during Open Enrollment)$24 per hour+ DOE
Our client: This position administers day to day operations of group benefit programs, processes benefit enrollments and terminations. Your customer service skills will go a long way in liaising with employees and insurance providers when helping to resolve benefit related problems, interacting with employees, customers, subsidiaries and clients daily. Would you like to:
Run eligibility reports, compile and distribute enrollment materials, enter data into vendor databases, and Costpoint
Assist employees to complete benefit forms
Help employees understand benefit plans and resolve related complaints
Accurately maintain electronic files, ensuring documents are filed and stored correctly
Review, code, obtain authorization, process benefit vendor invoices for payment
Monitor and process benefit premium payment for employees on unpaid leave
Provide backup for benefits hotline and ticketing system, with excellent customer service skills
Reconcile medical FEHB bill to payroll and general ledger monthly
Calculate and manage employee premium arrears for benefit plans in collaboration with payroll
Other duties as assigned
Ideally you have:
High School diploma or GED
3-5 years of benefits, HR, general administrative or related experience
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Ability to embrace technology (ideally you are highly tech savvy!)
Ability to analyze data, propose and implement solutions, able to identify process improvements and efficiencies needed
Ability to multi-task while paying strong attention to detail, working effectively in stressful and time sensitive situations
Impressive common sense and strong problem resolution skills
Bonus points for:
2+ years of working knowledge and use of Deltek Costpoint
2+ years of customer service experience
