Hope Community Resources is a non-profit organization providing community supports to hundreds of individuals and families who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and mental health challenges. The Community Support Supervisor provides services to Hope support recipients through their work in teaching, coaching and mentoring direct support staff in order to ensure the delivery of quality services to Hope support recipients. This position oversees the delivery of services to support recipients as delineated in the Plans of Care and/or support plans, utilizing strategies in alignment with organizational culture and the management and service philosophy of Hope. To thrive in this role, the successful candidate should be comfortable with administering personal care and developing staff in support of our support recipients and their unique needs.
Responsibilities include
Supervises, develops, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines staff. Collaborates in all aspects of onboarding personnel to fulfill service delivery requirements.
Develops goals and objectives in partnership with support recipients in alignment with their desired outcomes and ensures staff implementation.
Oversees and monitors Family Habilitation service providers, including but not limited to ensuring accurate and timely submission of service documentation and regulatory compliance.
Conducts visits for all environments as required.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Social Science, or Special Education or related field required. Emphasis of study in developmental disabilities preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be accepted on a one for one basis.
Two years of experience working in social services required, one year of which involving responsibility in case management and supervision required.
Experience working with adults who experience disabilities strongly preferred.
