Eligibility for this position will be dependent upon your willingness to travel to our corporate office in Baton Rouge, LA up to 4 times a year funded by Lamar Advertising.

Position Purpose:
Improve the current IT infrastructure, optimize business operations, and set the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, and alignment of IT strategy with business objectives, cloud computing, and systems visualization.
Provide expertise in the design, development, and implementation of SOA integrations and software solutions that meet the business requirements of the organization.
Develop, coordinate, communicate, maintain, and enforce overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to perform the organization’s business and technology activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Work with the Director of Process Control to prioritize tasks and activities of the architecture team.
Serve as subject matter expert in service-oriented architecture, micro-services, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity.
Provide technical leadership on projects ensuring that technical direction and architecture adhere to Lamar standards and function within the Lamar technical ecosystem.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, and alignment of IT strategy with business objectives, cloud computing, and systems visualization.
What we’re looking for in YOU:

Strong background in .NET development, particularly back-end development
Strong background in cloud architecture
Strong understanding and background in service-oriented architecture implementations.
Strong project management skills
Managing configurations including IIS, Windows Server, Windows Desktop
Familiar with software design patterns
Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL database and ORM concepts
Strong knowledge and implementation expertise in integration patterns
Ability to do front end development with standard frameworks (MVC, jQuery, Bootstrap)
Proficient in different web service open standards including WS-Policy, WS-Security, WS- Addressing, and other WS-* stack
Ability to communicate with other groups within the IT department, including management, developers, DBA’s, and network team
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Education or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field.
Knowledge of the following required: C#, MS SQL Server, Object-oriented development, Service-based architecture, test-driven development, Web development – CSS, HTML, JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, ExtJS or similar), Asp.Net MVC, Mobile development a plus.
5+ years of .NET development experience.
3+ years of experience with Mulesoft or other API management software
3+ years of cloud architecture experience.
7+ years of service-oriented architecture experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The primary work environment is an office.
The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%
