Make a difference in a young person’s life! We are seeking a Center Director to join our organization! Strategix Management LLC is experiencing outstanding growth and is seeking Center Directors who are available to oversee Job Corps Centers in any location in the U.S. The Center Director plans, coordinates, and directs the total administrative and programmatic activities of the Job Corps Center and is responsible for overall daily management.
Job Corps is a federally funded, residential vocational training program for socioeconomically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24, with over 120 locations across the U.S. (www.JobCorps.gov).
Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide daily supervision and management of Job Corps students, staff, facility, and program.
Maintain the highest level of safety and security through adherence to DOL and Strategix requirements, and local law enforcement.
Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property at all times.
Coordinate with Strategix corporate personnel, subcontractors, national training contractors, and DOL to ensure efficient operations, quality services, and contract compliance, including audits and reviews.
Establish Center plans, programs, goals, and objectives to ensure achievement through management controls.
Establish business, community, and civic partnerships to expand training and placement opportunities, promote a positive program image, and contribute to a comprehensive local workforce development system.
Direct programmatic efforts to ensure obtainment of option years, contract retention, and performance outcome measurement attainment.
Assist with expanding Center business and coordinates with the corporate office on proposal preparation, negotiation, and contractual modification activities as required.
Recommend and execute final decisions on contract, budget, organization, programs, and administrative matters in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement organizational and personnel actions in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Maintain communication with the student body via the Student Government Association and involve in Center management through ongoing meetings.
Provide control of Center reports, policies, procedures, staff travel, student separations, disclosure of information, equipment, and facilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum (Please apply ONLY if you meet the minimum requirements)
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, education, behavioral science, or associated field. Five years’ experience working with young adults and in program administration and direction. Ability to provide leadership, counsel, motivation, and constructive performance feedback in accordance with program goals. Ability to analyze data and reports to determine corrective action. Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication. Knowledge of effective contract administration. Information technology proficiency including MS Office required. Willingness to relocate.
Preferred
Master’s degree and substantial Job Corps administration experience.
As a federal contractor, Strategix Management LLC is required to comply with federal agency guidelines regarding COVID safety protocols.
