Job Title: Engineering Manager, T1
Shift: 1st
Salary Class: Salary Exempt
Reports to: General Manager
Position Objective:
Provides engineering management to ensure manufacturing processes, procedures and documentation meet or exceed customer quality expectations while supporting the cost and profit objectives of the MFG Opp organization. As a part of the senior staff, participate in the setting of and attainment of entity goals, objectives and operating budgets.
Responsibilities:
A summary of the essential functions of the position includes but are not limited to the following:
❖ Direct and support the engineering team in the development and/or improvement for manufacturing processes designed to improve quality and reduce manufacturing cost.
❖ Manage the implementation and evaluation of manufacturing processes, emphasizing those which provide cost savings or improve production methods using Lean Six and Six Sigma methodologies.
❖ Maintain, develop, and interface with customers relative to engineering needs.❖ Participate in identifying and implementing facility corrective/preventive action(s) through root cause analysis.
❖ Develop and maintain necessary reports, records and files.❖ Generation of quotations for engineering changes, process improvements and new products.
❖ Coordinate with Human Resources in hiring, training, counseling and discipline of department teammates.
❖ Ensure that a safe and clean work environmental is provided for all teammates.❖ Employees directly supervised: 3+ ❖ Business travel required❖ Participate and contribute to Layered Process Audits.❖ All other assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements:
❖ Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, ChemicalEngineering, or Industrial Engineering.
❖ Experience: Minimum 5-10 years Manufacturing composites experience preferred and hands on experience with implementation of engineering processes and procedures. Drafting/AutoCAD design experience required.
❖ Technical knowledge and experience with vacuum infusion, hand layup and spray layup polyester resins, gel coat application, and surface painting of composites parts. Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year
