WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
Tests the design and operation effectiveness of internal finance controls.
Reports findings and/or gaps discovered through testing to management.
Works with internal and external auditors to provide requested information.
Partners with process owners to ensure business processes are adequately documented within narratives and flowcharts.
Proposes control changes including additions, deletions and modifications to ensure the best possible control SOX framework is active within the organization.
Assists in the preparation of the annual SOX audit plan based on internal risk assessment processes.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word; Visio preferred)
Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau)
Internal controls experience or audit experience preferred
Familiarity with SOX requirements and concepts
General understanding of financial/operating reporting, auditing concepts and practices
Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, have a positive work ethic and be comfortable working in a fast paced, changing, demanding environment
Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work requirements and allocate resources accordingly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
