Location: Various in Eastern US
Type: Full-time, Salary Exempt
Work Schedule: 8-10 hours/day; Schedule varies based on customer requirements
Travel: 75% – Will involve travel to future installation sites

Position Summary
As an Installation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of vibration sensors at a client’s manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper inventory of assigned equipment and parts is maintained, time logs and electronic paperwork are filled out accordingly and installation specifications are met. The Installation Supervisor will be responsible for managing Installation Technicians at each job site. Must also maintain a clean and safe work environment while wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, bump caps and steel toe shoes. Qualified candidates will reside close to a major airport, allowing for regular travel to customer installation sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for installation-related work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel
Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide site technicians with safety training to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of Uptime, customer and regulatory agencies’ procedures and safety rules
Supervise and mentor group of onsite technicians, including employees and outside contractors
Confer with personnel, such as management, customers and consultants, to coordinate work activities, resolve grievances, and identify and review resource needs
Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, installation techniques, operational procedures or equipment use
Analyze worker or installation problems and recommend solutions, such as improving installation methods or implementing motivational tools
Inspect completed work to verify conformance to installation standards and/or customer specifications
Qualifications
The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job well:
Technical expertise in a hands-on role, as well as supervisory experience over technicians
Strong safety record with knowledge of incident investigations and OSHA reporting
Prior experience with an onsite installation, preferably at an industrial or manufacturing facility
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Background in vibration analysis is a plus, along with a vibration certification from an accredited organization
Able to meet the following physical demands:
Remain in an upright stationary or mobile position for long periods of time, typically between 3-5 hours, on an open-grade manufacturing floor
Navigate safely around rotating industrial equipment and machinery
Regularly ascend and descend stairs and ladders (typically 8 ft but may be up to 20 ft) while meeting OSHA requirement of maintaining three points of contact
Work in changing environments, including extreme hot, humidity and cold
Successfully pass a TSA background check and drug screen
Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and have a good driving record
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interface with customers, internal management, technicians and analysts
