Job Description
Job Title: Executive Director, Naam International, a 501(c)(3) status non-profit organization (hereafter referred to as “Naam”).
Naam International is seeking a resourceful, experienced and strategic leader with a genuine passion for supporting a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting the public with holistic practices and resources that address today’s most common health challenges (mental, physical, emotional). The Executive Director is a highly visible role responsible for the creation and implementation of the fundraising strategy and driving the strategic roadmap, program expansion and delivery of Naam. This role requires attention to detail for executing strategy, while also collaborating with the Board Members to envision future opportunities that ensures the ongoing success and sustainability of Naam.
Directly reports to: The Board of Directors of Naam-NP through the Co-chairs of the Board.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Board of Directors of Naam, the Executive Director of Naam holds a leadership and strategic position with program development and organizational sustainability responsibilities. By employing a serviceful leadership approach can help Naam be successful in the following areas:
Fund Development
Drive fundraising efforts and generate new donor prospects and partnerships.
Implement an actionable fund development plan, identifying new and expanded sources of revenue.
Actively cultivate new partnerships that generate opportunities for the organization to achieve its mission.
Create new community relationships for Naam through networking and establishing new community partners (NGOS, business, government, funders, other).
Strategic Leadership & Execution
Align strategy to execution and delivering outcomes. Interpret, measure and report on impact of Naam program activities on communities it serves.
Participate in collaborative opportunities with other organizations, when appropriate, and in service to the mission.
Foster, develop and maintain professional and amicable relations with the Naam Board of Directors (hereafter referred to as “the Board”), its individual members, committees and associated bodies.
Marketing and Promotion
Engage with the Board, as well as marketing and promotions professionals (both volunteer or paid capacity), in the creation, development and launch of social media and other marketing initiatives to promote the Naam-NP to and among varied demographics and markets.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable leadership experience, and measurable success, specifically in the nonprofit or public sector.
Proven experience of major donor fundraising and developing grant applications
Leadership experience in the nonprofit or public sector, government contract procurement and management experience and experience navigating government and partnership dynamics
Knowledge, understanding and/or practice of wellness and metaphysical arts and alignment with Naam-NP’s mission
Self-motivated, results oriented and able to work independently and as a team player, show initiative and take responsibility
Model respectful, caring, patient, and empowering relationships with all staff and stakeholders
Strong financial literacy and management skills
Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), CRM, Digital and Social Media platforms
Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Hold a valid Driver’s License.
A flexible work schedule, willingness to work from a home office, and ability to travel is required.
Existing relationships with key Santa Monica, Malibu, LA decision-makers a plus
Candidates who have personal or lived experience overcoming mental, physical and/or emotional health challenges are encouraged to apply
Salary / Pay:
Annual Salary: $3,500+ monthly, $42-50,000 US annually. Paid monthly upon receipt of invoice and paid via interbank transfer. If during the term of the contract employment performance meets or exceeds expectations, the contract will automatically be renewed for a new one-year or longer term.
