Job Description and Duties:
We are growing! The finance team of our prominent national advertising network is looking to add a new operations controller to our growing group of professionals. We are looking for an individual with a mastery of traditional accounting skills that can go beyond accurate reporting into meaningful real-time analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely from home. Therefore, the ideal candidate for this position will need to be very independent while still working in a well-supported collaborative environment. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is a must.
Primary duties include the following:
Work in conjunction with the financial leadership team of the parent company to provide real-time analysis of accounting and operations for the direct-mail operating division
Oversee the reconciliation process for the division
Manage division-level accounting staff
Provide financial information and analytical insights to division-level and parent company-level leadership
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited 4-year college or university
7+ years of relevant work experience, with 3+ years in a Controller (or higher) role
Thorough understanding of GAAP, journal entry preparation, and financial reporting
An analytical perspective
Thorough understanding of manufacturing/cost accounting
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities
Experience in the direct mail and advertising industry is strongly desired
Experience working with interrelated companies/divisions a plus, but not required
MBA or CPA a plus, but not required
Salary and Benefits:
$70,000-$80,000 salary commensurate with experience
