Vicksburg Community Schools has an opening at Indian Lake Elementary for a Media Paraprofessional . This position works 7.5 hours per day, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a half hour unpaid lunch.
Qualifications:
Ability to work with computers, word processing and general office machines
Must be competent in math skills
Must be of good health; and be able to lift, bend, and stretch, as job requires
Must have a good attendance record.
Must possess good decision-making skills.
Must be willing to grow professionally.
Must be flexible in work assignments.
Must demonstrate sociability and warmth in attitude toward students, other employees, and the supervisor.
Associates (or higher) degree, or have two years of college (60 credits), or have successfully passed the ETS Paraprofessional exam preferred
Duties:
Operates the circulation desk – assisting students and staff in locating, selecting and using library materials. Assists the media specialist in preparing or presenting instructional materials. Design and carry out such clerical duties as inventory, collection maintenance, processing new library resources, compiling records/reports, and other projects as assigned by the medial specialist.
