JOB POSTING: Volunteer Coordinator
Flat River Outreach Ministries (FROM) is a Christian, nonprofit organization focused on bringing our community together to respond to the needs of our neighbors in the Lowell Area School District.
We envision a community of hope, love, and belonging where individuals and families have options and resources, and where they feel empowered to make positive changes to improve their quality of life.
FROM is seeking a part-time (35 hour a week) Volunteer Coordinator to oversee all volunteer needs for the organization including services, Treasure’s Thrift Store, and administrative support. This position reports to theDevelopment Director of FROM.
Job Duties:
Coordinate volunteer availability, training, and recruitment for organization
Create a welcome and inclusive environment for all volunteers
Maintain accurate volunteer data in Salesforce
Communicate and collaborate as part of a team to support a positive experience for both volunteers and service participants
Availability on some evenings and weekends is required
All other duties as assigned by supervisor to insure effective organizational operation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2 years in project or volunteer management experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Salesforce or other volunteer management system knowledge a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with set deadlines/guidelines
Able to work independently and closely with others
Attention to detail and manage time well
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to adapt to changing situations as part of a team
Ability to build and maintain mutually respectful relationships with a diverse population
Experience as a volunteer with various organizations preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Video training experience a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
