This person would be responsible for delivering pre production units on time with safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

Be a leader in the GM safety culture, with a commitment that everyone goes home safely every day. You will use your extensive knowledge of the workplace safety systems and safety fundamentals to teach and coach teams to understand and execute GM safety processes and embrace the GM safety culture. Networking and working within a sphere of influence vs a spere of control will be imperative for this position
Be the voice of concerns from all formal and informal lines of communication to ensure successful resolution

Qualifications

Deep knowledge and ability to implement Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) principles
Strong track record of safety improvement
Strong track record of quality improvement
Strong track record of Cost Per Unit (CPU) improvement
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with highest level of autonomy and accountability for results
Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
Demonstrated excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues

GM Salaried Supervision and team building experience
GM UAW Supervision experience

Experience/Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience required
Prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering execution or Operations leadership-Highly Recommended
Prior experience in Propulsion Systems is preferred
Working knowledge in business application software (Microsoft office, Powertrain Production Monitoring and Control PTPMC, Maximo, Power BI) and other related electronic tools
