Director of Operations oversees a broad and diverse camp-resort portfolio that spans 27 properties throughout the country. Focus is on ensuring our resorts are operating most effectively and efficiently while providing an exceptional guest experience. The ability to be self-driven is significant in this exciting, fast-paced environment. The role leads the Regional Operations team that is direct support to all resorts. This position reports to the COO.
Recruit, interview, hire, and train Regional Operations and General Managers
Significant oversight on labor and expenses, highlighting opportunities and driving change
Strong strategic guidance across the portfolio with the goal of further standardization
Work in a collaborative environment with additional home office support departments (Accounting, HR, Legal, Marketing, etc)
Provide clear expectations and accountability to the team
Provide concise direction and communication
Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
Lead and model clear and consistent communication throughout the team
Evaluate operational opportunities across the portfolio; identifying trends and effectively quickly adjusting based on need
Establish and implement the strategic direction for operations
Collaborate with all Leadership and departments
Establish clear roadmap for training, SOPs, preventative maintenance, labor standards
Present performance reports and metrics to the leadership team
Management Experience: 10 years (Preferred)
Leadership Experience: 10 years (Preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with courteous people skills.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to shift priorities quickly
Results Driven, Self-motivated
Enjoy a fast-paced work environment
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Ability to use a computer, tablet, smart phone, Google Suite or related software, and the Internet
Requires driving, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
Valid License, no DUI or Major Violations
Ability to work flexible hours and be on call after business hours
