Roadhouse Events Staff
(Occasional part-time)

The Roadhouse is looking for occasional Events staff to assist in on-site and off-site parties and events. Duties include serving, clearing and bussing, setting up and cleaning up of all catering functions, both at the restaurant and off-site. This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction and requires the ability to carry large, heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout a shift.

Wage – $16/hour
Hours – Weekends and Evenings w/ shifts that range from 6 – 10 hours

Performance expectations – Essential Functions:

Able to follow directions in the moment, under time pressure, with a smile
Can work long shifts that require standing/walking/bending/lifting throughout the shift
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and stay focused
Serves food and beverages carrying large, heavy trays
Loads and unloads vehicles with equipment and food
Sets up and tears down events including tables, chairs, place settings, linens, and buffets
Stocks and replenishes food stations/buffet tables
Busses tables and works to keep guest spaces clean and tidy
Keeps all workspaces clean, organized and sanitized
Gives exceptional service to all customers at our events
Assists Bartenders as needed, including serving beer and wine on occasion
Responds quickly to requests from guests, co-workers, supervisors and managers while being accurate, polite and enthusiastic
Maintains a professional image at all times through actions and appearance
Is timely and accurate in completing all assigned responsibilities and training requirements

The Success Patterns for this position are:

Serving experience is preferred, but we will provide training
Has a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Has a flexible schedule with an ability to sometimes work shifts on short notice
Is able to follow directions in the moment, under time pressure, with a smile
Can work long shifts that require standing/walking/bending throughout shift
Can lift and carry to 50 lbs.
Has excellent communication skills
Has the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and stay focused
Stays well organized with strong attention to detail
Has reliable transportation
