Position InformationJob Title: Project Coordinator – Continuing Education, Level IIIBargaining Unit: Non-AffiliatedAssignment Location: MTEC
Job FunctionThe project coordinator will manage and coordinate continuing education training activities across multiple projects and funding sources.Job Responsibilities· Assist department in meeting overall objectives and goals, to ensure timely project completion within allocated budgets and guidelines.· In collaboration with the project leads and processing team, coordinate, deliver, and manage all necessary resources needed for the facilitation and implementation of assigned education and training courses, programs and projects.· Reconcile all assigned activity on a regular basis with College’s/department’s data systems.· Follow established departmental policies and procedures for starting and ending projects, both non-credit and credit culminating in completed audit of all project components.· Where necessary, establish and maintain contact with clients, staff, instructors and external agencies to facilitate the delivery of programs in conjunction with the channel lead.· Prepare requisitions and maintain project accounting budget books· Provide written and verbal guidance to staff, trainees, instructors and client companies to assure contract and grant compliance.· Maintain accurate project/program information systems and accounting of activities including various reports.· Will be expected to know or learn and use Colleague and MS Office programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Planner, MS Teams. Additionally, will be expected to learn and use other software packages utilized within the department.· Ensure adherence to all contract and grant requirements· Provide regular updates on status for all projects, document initiatives within projects and distribute to all key stakeholders.· Conduct research and prepare reports as needed· Maintain inventory of training program publications, materials and electronic and hardcopy documents.· Identify and secure instructors, classrooms/labs, instructional resources and oversee curriculum and curriculum development when necessary.· Comply with FERPA guidelines when dealing with and communicating confidential student information related to but not limited to student records. Must handle faculty/other sensitive information/issues in an appropriate and discrete fashion.· Other duties as assignedSUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the WCE Director for Engineering & Advanced Technology (EAT).
SUPERVISION GIVEN: May supervise full and part-time staff as assigned
EducationAssociates Degree. Preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
Preliminary QualificationsOne year of related work experience including project management and troubleshooting, experience in education sector project management preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesCompetent in MS Office applications including MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PPT). Must have good analytical, planning and organizational skills. Must have good analytical, planning and organization skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to function as a team member.
Physical DemandsWork Hours 40 hours per week. Working hours may vary and may include occasional evenings or weekends. Duties may require travel between campuses and to off-campus locations.
Position Level 3Salary $51,339 – $65,906 (2022 salary range) Maximum salary upon new hire $51,339
