Job Summary:
This Vehicle Systems Test Architect role is centered around the test and validation engineering aspects of Autonomous Driving vehicle programs for OEM customers. Vehicle-level testing may be conducted either on test tracks or real-world road networks, spanning several US states and cities. The successful Vehicle Systems Test Architect has a self-starting mentality, enjoys working hands-on on a variety of projects simultaneously and understands how to achieve a high level of “customer” satisfaction from internal and external engineering teams.
Your Role:
Vehicle Systems Test Architect role is responsible to give expertise and guidance with regards to all aspects of Vehicle Testing, Test Management tools(Polarion, JIRA etc) and Requirements Traceability.
Major Accountabilities:
Plans and monitors VSYS.2 work planned for all product releases and program increments (PIs)
Standardization of Work Products and Processes across all programs/projects/platforms
Verify & Review of Work Products as per PDP2.0 process
Review & Approve all requirements assigned to Vehicle Systems Testing group
Lead mapping of VSYS2 Requirements to VSYS5 Test Cases
Conduct VSYS5 Test Case Peer Reviews with respective Function Owners for approvals
Manage Test Case Jira Stories & respective Jira dashboards
Define Requirements for Vehicle Systems Test Analytics group for automated scripts
Align with Project/Platform Owners for Effort & Time estimations
Create & Manage Requirements Traceability Metrics & Dashboards
Work with Test Engineers to allocate Test Cases between Vehicle/Bench/HIL/VIL
Support:
Support Test Engineers in Test Case Development
Support Test Engineers in Test Case Execution
Support Test Engineer is Test Data & Test Cases Results handling & analysis
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of vehicle-level testing experience in Autonomous/ADAS Features testing, or 5+ years System vehicle-level testing experience
5+ years of experience in reviewing and developing test cases from requirements
5+ years of data analysis experience with CAN, Ethernet, MATLAB etc data tools
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)
Working-knowledge of Autonomous Driving technology
Comfortable leading weekly meetings with customer teams to communicate test results and describe data in technical depth.
Experience working with automotive safety process and standards
Experience working with remote Technicians and Operators/Drivers
Experience with NHTSA Levels 0-5 Autonomous Vehicles
Experience creating automated data analysis in tools such as CANoe, MATLAB and Python
Technical writing proficiency for test procedures, plans and reports.
