Our client has been in the sales of warehouse machinery for over 60 years! As a result of growth, they are adding a Payroll Administrator to their accounting team.
Job description
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely processing of ADP bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, bonus and commission payrolls, and following payroll compliance and applicable laws, regulations and company policies. Must have working knowledge of time clock system, payroll deductions, federal/state taxation, quarter/year-end processing which includes W2 and 1099 processing. GL reconciliations related to payroll including bank statements.
Responsibilities include-
Ensures the approval of timecards for weekly and hourly employees.
Inputting payroll data with procedures, policies and timelines clearly specified.
Resolves payroll problems and corrects errors timely.
Compliance with various legal requirement such as wage garnishments, support order deductions from an employee’s bi-weekly pay
Maintain knowledge and resolve payroll tax notifications for delinquency, overpayment and rate changes for state income and unemployment taxes.
Validate and issue all year end payroll tax records, such as W-2s
Bank Reconciliations
Expense reports/Concur
General Ledger reconciliations
