Director of Architecture – Kalamazoo / Grand Rapids, Michigan –
DISHER is currently partnering with an experiential design firm in Kalamazoo, Michigan that is passionate about creating spaces highly designed for experience. They use the power of design in the areas of Architecture, Interior design, and graphic design to help people live more fulfilled lives. Their team is growing and they are expanding with a second location in Grand Rapids, MI. As the Director of Architecture, you will get to establish the Grand Rapids location, grow, and mentor the team, design the studio, and oversee projects.

Establish the Grand Rapids studio and lead the architecture team
Directly responsible for coaching and mentoring new architects in Grand Rapids
Overseeing projects and checking in to ensure work is getting done
Interfacing with clients with the ability to help grow project work
Opportunity to lead more of the architectural design if of interest
Could lead the teams with production if interested
Interface with clients to network and build business
Partner on current projects with the firm – tend to be on the smaller side
What will make you successful:
8+ years of experience working in an architectural firm on projects that require creativity
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
Experience utilizing Revit or Arc E CAD
Natural leadership and solid communication skills
Fearless, driven, curious and people-oriented
Willingness to take constructive criticism and grow
Passion for interior design and architecture
Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
