Finance and Accounting Process works on accounting processes from regions including America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Key responsibilities
Process re-engineering
a. Key focus on understanding and documenting ATR business processes for various Businesses like Container Inland Services, Logistics & Services and HSUD.
b. Strong focus around challenging the status quo within the business processes, financial reporting, and accounting system framework
c. Ability to provide a holistic solution whether that involves working with upgraded IT environment, legacy systems as well as new technology adoption
d. Work to identify key process risks and provide relevant mitigation plan/best practice to improve control environment
e. Independently drive changes to key business processes, other projects involving bringing in bolts-on or work with upstream process changes to minimize inefficiencies in the existing ATR processes.
f. Self-starter with a desire to understand the process & advise innovative solutions
g. Sound understanding on end-to-end solutions & enhancements to drive business process improvements whether within ATR or within other verticals to ensure ATR functioning can be made effective
h. Identifies and gain expertise on new technologies that can cater to further improvement of ATR processes e.g. Blackline, Onestream, business warehouse etc.
i. Drive financial transformations relating to organizational initiatives around system automation and process changes
j. Engage with senior stakeholders within the organization
k. Knowledge on Inland services and Logistics & services business is added advantage
Drive Standardization, compliance and adherence to controls
l. Develop and update Global process landscape & Standard Operating Procedures which act as significant source of guidance for the ATR
m. Developing processes to reduce exceptions and bringing continuous standardization in line with industry benchmarks
n. Communication with the organization emphasizing the drive for standardization & adherence to set controls. Open two-way communication with organization on any areas requiring further review
o. Critically review and assess the potential solutions against the business requirements, providing best in class IT solution at end to end scale.
p. Evaluate the processes on end to end scale & work towards optimal standard solutions leading to automated efficient processes.
q. Prepare and improve accounting policies to suit current business environment
r. Implement new process solutions and technology to meet financial standard reporting requirements of IFRS and GAAP.
We are looking for
Graduate /Post Graduate from recognized university. Qualified Chartered Accountant, or CPA or ACCA or MBA from premiere instituteMinimum 7-10 years’ experience with large, global, multinational organizations
Deep understanding of end to end business continuum (value chain) of at least one industry (not just restricted to Finance)Knowledge on Inland service business is added advantageUnderstanding and experience in Finance system implementation projects, hands on experiences on technologies like SAP S4 HANA, RAR, FICA, SAC, IFS etc. preferable.Strong understanding of finance and business drivers – preferably in Shipping, Logistics and supply or related industry
Have the ability to manage change – understand concepts of change management with demonstrated capabilities
Able to consistently demonstrate & live cultural dimensions of Simplicity, Focus & TeamworkGood team player and someone willing to work beyond known boundaries of capabilities
